DO YOU OFFER SLIDING SCALE RATES?
Yes. Sliding scale appointment availability are limited for each therapist and are only for self pay clients who do not have insurance. If sliding scale is needed please contact us to learn if there are available appointments.
HOW LONG DOES EACH THERAPY SESSION TAKE?
50 minutes up to 70 minutes. Session length is determined by type of service and severity of the concerns. Individual sessions are 50 minutes, with the last 5 minutes reserved for wrap up, homework assignment and scheduling. Couple and family sessions are 70 minutes with the last 5-10 minutes used for wrap up, homework assignment and scheduling. Additional time is optional and must be scheduled and paid for prior to the session.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO SESSIONS?
Some find it helpful to bring a notebook and a pen to take notes during sessions. Accedence offers client care kits that include a notebook and other materials to facilitate therapy. We also offer resources and handouts to use in between sessions depending on the concerns being worked on. Visit the Resource page for examples.
HOW WILL WE MEET ONLINE?
Accedence Counseling uses a HIPAA compliant platform called SimplePractice to hold sessions online. Clients can log on from their phone or laptop to attend sessions.
WHY DO I NEED TO PROVIDE A CREDIT CARD?
We require a credit card on file to collect copays and fees for sessions, late cancellation and no shows.
DO YOU PROVIDE EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMAL, LEAVE OF ABSENCE AND/OR MEDICAL RECORDS REQUESTS?
Yes. These services are for established clients for a fee. Please share your needs for these services during your free consultation.
